White water rafting: if you've never been, get out of the house! |
| 3/21/2008 10:14:27 AM |
White water rafting--what a ride! It's unlike anything most people ever do.
Does it require courage? Yes. Does it require some level of strength? Yes, you'll need some strength to paddle, to push off, or to hang on to the chicken line (Some white water rafting experiences don't require you to do any paddling or pushing off, but a chicken line is pretty much a necessity. What's... Read More |

Check safety first when choosing an adventure quest |
| 3/15/2008 3:54:04 AM |
An adventure quest sounds like something Lara Croft or Indiana Jones would go on. Upon searching for one, I found that it is also the name of an RPG game. The adventure quest we're talking about is the one that involves: You.
There are many people who seek the thrill of going on an adventure quest. Some would like to try a tours adventure, whereas others who are more thrill... Read More |

This spring will be great for white water rafting out West. |
| 3/3/2008 2:09:49 PM |
I would love to try some white water rafting this summer in Utah, where the Green River is located. There is a river there, in a place called the Westwater Canyon that has some two or three day trips in a guided oar boat that looks like it would be loads of fun. The snow melt will be incredible this spring, which means that the water for white water rafting will be fanastic this summer, especially early in the season. There is no telling if the summer will be as wet as the winter has, so I'm thinking about booking a trip in April or May for Moab, Utah, where they will launch this tour. Since it is a short trip, it will be less expesnive than spending a whole week going down the Grand Canyon, which is not cheap by any means. I have gone on overnight canoe trips in the past, and they can definintely be an adventure quest, but they are so calm and peaceful compared to white water rafting. It's time to get my feet wet (and everything else, I imagine), and experience some white water rafting in high water level conditions. |

My adventure quest would be to hike the great wall of China. |
| 1/26/2008 1:56:46 PM |
| I would love to go on an adventure quest before I'm much older and my knees give out. My idea of an adventure quest is probably a lot tamer than most peoples but that doesn't matter. I would like to hike the Great Wall of China. I have heard it would take about 6 months to do the entire wall and by then I would be bored so I would like to take a couple of weeks do my... White water rafting is a major tourist activity in the Grand Canyon, and floating down the river on a guided adventure for a week or so is an incredible experience. The scenery at the bottom... Read More |
